Is there a quota for international students at Maltepe University?
The acceptance of international students to our undergraduate programs is carried out within the framework of the relevant regulations of the BHE and the principles and quotas set by the Senate. For more information, please visit the link.

Do I have to send original TOEFL and ALES/GRE scores when I apply?
You can upload the photocopies of these results when you apply. However, you have to bring the original scores when you come for registration.

How do you announce the application results?
You will be informed about your application result within one week via e-mail.

What are the application dates?
Because of the COVID-19, we will acccept all undergradute applications until 15th of December 2020.

Can I submit my application online?

Is the deposit payment refundable?
Please be informed that the deposit payment can only be refunded in case of visa rejection by the Turkish Embassy in the related country with a 200 USD operating expense deduction in case of refund.

Do you accept IELTS exam?
Unfortunately, we don't accept IELTS exam.

May I apply without any English Exam result?
Yes, you may. But you have to bring required English Exam Results during the registration period.

How can I submit my application to transfer to Maltepe University as an International Student?
Students who wish to transfer to our university can submit their applications through the Online Application System on the announced dates by following the instructions on the Acceptance and How To Apply pages. A separate admissions procedure does not apply for transfer students.

Do you have a program that accepts students with the Special Talent Exam?
In the academic year of 2019-2020, our university accepts "Fine Arts Faculty" and "Maltepe University Conservatory" with "Special Ability Exam".

I am senior student and I don’t have my last semester’s transcript at the time of application. May I still apply?
Yes, you can upload your transcripts although last semester's transcript is not available at the application. But you must bring your transcript that includes grades of the final semester when you come for registraiton.

Are there double major and minor programs at Maltepe University?
In addition to major programs, our university gives its students the opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree in a second branch or to study in a minor program. What is the criteria to get a scholarship?
Regarding scholarships, all international students are evaluated for scholarships which are awarded as part of the admissions process. Thus, if you have any additional documents which will help to increase a chance to get a scholarship, please upload it in your application or send it to us by email. We do not have a separate application process for scholarship.

Can a student who is awarded to scholarship at Maltepe University get scholarship from another institution?
In case students wish, they can get apply for other institutions and foundations for scholarship.

Is there any mobile application for library procedures?
Yes, you can run your membership procedures on mobile application, named Cep Kütüphane "My Pocket Library." You can download the application from Google Play and Appstore, have access to print or electronic sources that you want, selecting Maltepe University. You can access to different library catalogues on the same program.

What are the services that library offers?
Our library, which has been completely renovated in the summer of 2018, has a shelf capacity of 200,000 volumes and a seating area of 500 located in approximately 3,200 m² area. There are free study rooms where students can work aloud and reader computers, all connected to the Internet. All study desks have special lighting and electrical sockets. There is a wireless network connection in the library building. Maltepe University students are members of the library and can borrow books for free. With the smart library system, users can access the books that they are looking for as soon as possible and borrow quickly and easily from the loan devices. There are more than 135,000 printed and 5,000,000 electronic resources available, and the collection is constantly being improved.

Can we access to library off Marmara Education Village?
Access to electronic versions and licensed databases of periodicals subscribed by the University Library is made within the framework of license agreements with companies, and access is provided only by means of IP address control. Proxy (proxy) Server has been launched by our University's Informatics Center (Internet Center) so that you can access these services from outside the campus during working hours and on holidays. The changes you need to make in your internet browser for accessing these services off-campus are explained in the link.

Can I get information about the foreign agreements of Maltepe University?
As a higher education institution with an Extended Erasmus University Statement, our university has the right to participate in the Lifelong Learning / Erasmus + Program, which is included in the European Union Education and Youth Programs. Within the scope of the program, our students can participate in the learning mobility to be realized with higher education institutions that have bilateral agreements from the member states of the European Union and also internship activities that can be realized with higher education institutions or enterprises.
Our university has accepted the goals stipulated by the Bologna Process. Necessary studies are carried out for a balance between diversity and unity, our country is also located in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and our students can travel easily in Europe.

Our Faculty of Fine Arts is in cooperation with international organizations such as CILECT, DOCLANDS ACADEMY, ELIA and AEHT.
Our Vocational School is recognized as the Authorized Training Center by The International Air Transport Association (IATA) and has the authority to issue internationally valid certificates in the field of aviation. We have a strategic cooperation agreement with Cambridge International Aviation Academy (CIAA).
Our School of Foreign Languages has an international accreditation for Pearson Assured, which has been renewed every year since 2016.
The Institute of Social Sciences has a master's degree program that offers two different international certification opportunities (IB Advanced Leadership Certificate, Body Psychotherapy Certificate).

What is the required minimum score to be exempt from English Preparatory School?
The tests and minimum scores to be exempt from English Prep School are as the following: TOEFL iBT min. 78, YDS-YÖKDİL min. 65, PTE min. 67 and IB min. 5 (out of 7).

My undergraduate degree program was in English, do I still submit an English Exam Score?
Yes, you need to take min. 78 from TOEFL iBT, min. 65 from YDS-YÖKDİL, min. 67 from PTE and min. 5 (out of 7) from IB if your native language is not English.

Does Maltepe University make an English language proficiency exam?
Yes we have. If you don't have an English Proficiency Exam score, you can take Maltepe University Proficiency Exam after you receive Conditional Acceptance Letter.
